How Melbourne Golf Physio Can Help
Melbourne Golf Physio provides evidence-based golf physiotherapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation for golfers and active individuals who want expert assessment, personalised treatment and a clear pathway back to the activities they enjoy.
Comprehensive Physiotherapy Services for Golfers & Active Individuals
Melbourne Golf Physio provides evidence-based golf physiotherapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation for golfers and active individuals who want expert assessment, personalised treatment and a clear pathway back to the activities they enjoy.
Every program starts with a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment to identify what's actually driving your symptoms. We assess how your body moves, pinpoint mobility, strength and movement limitations, and factor in the physical demands of your sport, work and everyday life to build a treatment plan around your specific goals.
Our services combine hands-on physiotherapy, targeted rehabilitation, exercise prescription and performance-focused care to help you recover from golf injuries, sporting injuries, post-operative conditions and the full spectrum of musculoskeletal complaints.
Whether you're returning to golf, recovering after surgery, chasing better performance, or just want to move with less pain and more confidence, the goal is the same: a full recovery, real resilience, and a return to the things you actually enjoy doing.
Your golf coach refines your swing. We help your body perform it.
Individualised care, built around you.
At Melbourne Golf Physio, we offer a comprehensive range of physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitation services to help you recover from injury, move with confidence and achieve your goals.
You don't need to know which service or treatment you need before booking.
Simply book an initial physiotherapy assessment, and we'll take the time to understand your concerns, assess your movement and develop a personalised treatment plan based on your needs.

Injury Rehabilitation Services
Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Recovering well after surgery takes more than time. We provide structured, evidence-based post-operative rehabilitation that restores movement, rebuilds strength and guides you back to golf, sport and everyday life safely and with confidence.
Return to Golf & Sport Rehabilitation
Getting back to golf or sport after injury needs careful planning, not guesswork. We build personalised programs that restore strength, improve movement and rebuild confidence, so you return safely and reduce the risk of the same injury happening again.
Individual & Guided Exercise Programs
Exercise remains one of the most effective tools for long-term recovery and golf performance, but only when it’s the right exercise for your body and your goals.
From individualised exercise prescription to our Semi-Private Golf Strength Classes, we focus on building the strength, mobility, stability and movement your body needs to recover from injury, increase physical capacity and perform at its best; both on and off the course.
Injury Rehabilitation
Evidence-based treatment for acute and chronic golf injuries, built around your recovery timeline and return-to-play goals.
Hands-On Treatment & Supporting Therapies
Measure Your Strength. Improve Your Swing. Return to Golf Faster.
Hands-On Physiotherapy
Manual therapy may be incorporated into your treatment to reduce pain, improve joint mobility and restore movement, working alongside targeted rehabilitation to create the best conditions for long-term recovery.
Dry Needling
Where clinically appropriate, dry needling can help relieve muscle pain, reduce tension and improve movement, integrated into a broader physiotherapy treatment plan rather than used as a standalone fix.
Sports Taping
Taping can offer additional support to injured tissue, assist movement and build confidence during rehabilitation or a return to activity, applied where it's clinically appropriate as part of your personalised plan.
Bracing & Mobility Aids
Where appropriate, we provide guidance on braces, supports and walking aids, including short-term crutch loan, to protect healing tissue, improve mobility and support a safe, progressive recovery.
*We keep a range of commonly used braces and crutches in stock; however, some items may need to be ordered specifically for you. If you know you require a particular support, please add a note when booking so we can best prepare for your appointment.
Golf Performance Physiotherapy
Targeted mobility, strength and stability work to add clubhead speed and reduce the stiffness that limits your range.
General Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Full-spectrum treatment for non-golf injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and everyday movement concerns.
Golf-Specific Assessment & Performance Services
Measure Your Strength. Improve Your Swing. Return to Golf Faster.
Golf Biomechanical Assessment
As a TPI Certified Physiotherapist (Level 1 and Medical Level 2), Bethany uses golf-specific biomechanical assessment to identify the mobility, strength and movement limitations contributing to pain, reduced performance or injury risk. This isn't swing coaching, it's understanding what your body can and can't currently do, then working alongside your swing coach so the changes you're making on the range are actually supported by how your body moves.
VALD Strength Testing
Research-grade VALD technology gives us objective measurements of strength, balance and force production, rather than relying on how things feel or look. That data lets us accurately identify physical deficits, track your rehabilitation progress in real numbers, and confirm you're genuinely ready for a safe return to golf, sport or everyday activity.
Pre-Golf Performance Assessment
Preparing for a golf holiday, a tournament, or just want to head into the season playing your best? A pre-golf assessment identifies physical limitations that could be capping your swing before they turn into pain, so you can optimise movement, add performance and reduce injury risk before you tee off.
Injury Education
Understanding your injury is a genuine part of recovering from it. We explain what's contributing to your symptoms, your diagnosis where relevant, and the reasoning behind each stage of your treatment plan, so you're equipped to manage your recovery and reduce the risk of it happening again.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a golf biomechanical assessment?
A golf biomechanical assessment examines how your body moves and responds to the physical demands of the golf swing. At Melbourne Golf Physio, we combine Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) movement screening, physiotherapy assessment and VALD strength testing, where appropriate, to identify limitations in mobility, strength, stability and movement control that may affect your comfort, consistency and performance on the course.
Rather than changing your golf swing, we assess whether your body has the physical capacity to perform the movements your golf coach is asking of you.
Our assessments help identify potential contributing factors to golf-related pain, recurring injuries or difficulties achieving certain swing positions. We use these findings to develop an individualised rehabilitation or golf performance plan, with targeted exercises to improve your physical capacity and support your golfing goals.
Do I need a referral to book a service?
No referral is required to book an assessment at Melbourne Golf Physio. You can book directly online or by phone, though referrals from GPs, orthopaedic surgeons, sports doctors and golf professionals are welcome.
Are your services only for golfers?
No. While golf-specific rehabilitation is our clinical focus, Bethany provides physiotherapy for the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation and all sporting injuries.
What is VALD technology used for?
VALD is research-grade testing equipment used to objectively measure strength, balance and force production. It helps us track your rehabilitation progress with real data rather than subjective assessment alone.
